Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-oriented Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day functions of our fruit
and vegetable processing facility. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient operations,
from raw material intake through to final product dispatch. The ideal candidate is proactive,
detail-oriented, and experienced in food production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Process Management
– Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets, timelines, and quality standards are
consistently met.
– Develop, implement, and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with sales and
inventory demands.
– Monitor process flow, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership
– Lead and supervise production, maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance teams across all
shifts.
– Build a performance-driven culture through training, coaching, and clear accountability.
– Foster collaboration across departments to streamline operations and solve operational
challenges.
Quality & Compliance
– Ensure adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP and company-specific protocols.
– Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product integrity and traceability.
– Maintain a safe, clean, and organized factory environment in line with internal and regulatory
standards.
Resource Optimization
– Monitor and manage usage of raw materials, packaging, and utilities to minimize waste and cost.
– Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of inputs.
– Oversee proper maintenance and operation of machinery, reducing downtime and extending asset
life.
Reporting & Planning
– Track operational KPIs (yield, efficiency, downtime, etc.) and report insights to management.
– Participate in budget planning and cost control strategies.
– Provide input on production planning, capacity expansion, and facility improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a
related field.
– Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing facility, ideally in the food or
agribusiness sector.
– Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, production planning, and team management.
– Solid organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
– Competency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
