Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive eNodeB Optimization Consultant to optimize the performance of Nokia LTE eNodeBs on the Tagtel network. The consultant will focus on enhancing network KPIs and ensuring optimal network coverage, capacity, and reliability. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of Nokia LTE architecture, and hands-on experience with eNodeB configuration and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and analyze eNodeB KPIs including DL/UL Throughput, PRB Utilization, HARQ Failure Rate, BLER, Handover Success Rates, and others.
· Identify network performance degradation and execute optimization plans accordingly.
· Configure and fine-tune eNodeB parameters to improve key performance indicators.
· Analyze eNB snapshots and implement corrective actions based on KPI trends.
· Collaborate with RF and transmission teams to ensure end-to-end network performance.
· Optimize intra- and inter-eNodeB handover parameters to reduce Ping Pong handovers and improve mobility KPIs.
· Perform audits of hardware specifications including FSMF, FRGP, FBBC, and associated cabling.
· Evaluate software versions (e.g., FL18) and recommend upgrades or patches as needed.
· Ensure synchronization, backhaul capacity, and VPN configurations are aligned with performance goals.
· Maintain documentation of configurations, tuning activities, and performance reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in LTE RAN optimization, specifically with Nokia eNodeBs.
Deep understanding of Nokia LTE architecture, hardware modules (FSMF, FRGP, FBBC), and configuration tools.
Proficiency in LTE KPIs and optimization techniques.
Experience with tools and technologies for eNodeB performance monitoring and fault management.
Familiarity with transmission systems (e.g., Huawei SM SFP) and VPN backhaul.
Knowledge of frequency synchronization and clocking services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Nokia certifications (e.g., NRS I or NRS II).
Experience with multi-vendor network environments.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
