Hotel Supervisor Full Time

1. Purpose of the Role:
The Hotel Supervisor will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the newly established hotel in Tanga. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring high-quality guest services, supporting the implementation of hotel standards, and contributing to the establishment of a strong operational foundation.

2. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the hotel’s pre-opening activities including staff onboarding, training, and setup of operational procedures.
• Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards in all areas of the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, health and safety standards, and hospitality regulations.
• Supervise front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams to ensure proper performance and customer service.
• Prepare staff schedules, allocate duties, and ensure optimal coverage during shifts.
• Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure a welcoming environment and deliver excellent service to enhance guest experience.
• Resolve operational issues swiftly to maintain service standards and brand reputation.
• Assist in inventory management and procurement of supplies.
• Maintain daily activity logs, occupancy reports, and other records as required.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets, operational plans, and cost control measures.
• Coordinate closely with all departments (e.g., kitchen, security, maintenance) to ensure cohesive operations.
• Communicate regularly with management on staff performance, guest feedback, and operational challenges.
• Represent the hotel at local events and build relationships with the community and vendors3.
