Transport and Logistics Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Transport and Logistics Officer to oversee and coordinate all transport and logistics operations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent command of English, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and live near Buza Kwa Mama Kibonge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules using Excel.
• Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, dispatch, and warehouse movements efficiently.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
• Track shipments and resolve any transport-related issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports.
• Support procurement and administrative functions as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong command of English—both spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, analysis, reporting).
• At least 1–2 years of experience in transport or logistics operations (internship or job).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be based near Buza Kwa Mama Kibonge or able to commute easily.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
